In Alabama: A white man (Thomas Blanton) can kill 4 Black girls, Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Wesley, and become eligible for parole, for the second time in 2021. Blanton was not even convicted for his 1963 crime until 2001 — 38 years after the bombing, which injured several others including Sarah Collins Rudolph.
A Black man (Nathaniel Woods) can be convicted by a jury in a 10-2 vote, and the actual killer can say that you did not participate when he killed 3 white police officers, and you can still be sentenced to death and executed on March 5, 2020, in the same prison where Thomas Blanton is incarcerated.
